Jamie at the Powerhouse Museum this July…

Nano dreams and nano nightmares
This is a big comedy about small things for families with children who could love science. This 15 minute play incorporates puppetry and humour to introduce audiences to nanoscale science. And a song sung by Jamie and his Jam On Toast back up singers called “Shake, Stick, Slide” which molecules apparently do! Check it out these holidays!

KIDS’ SHOW

Daily shows 3 – 19 July, 12.00pm, 1.00pm, 3.00pm
Ages 5–10 years
Free with Museum admission, bookings not required

Happy Holidays!

2009 has been a big year for Jamie and his Jam On Toast shows. The year began with a very successful show at the Bondi Pavilion as part of the holiday program and then continued with many in-school performances throughout Sydney. More recently Jamie has toured to Canberra, Adelaide and Perth and looks forward to spending more time jamming throughout Australia next year. Jamie also took part in the NSW Orff Schulwerk Association’s Levels Course and managed a quick performance for all the music educators on the last day, having them all dance to New Shoes!

In April/May the first international tour of Jam On Toast was greeted with much enthusiasm by children throughout England, where Jamie spent two weeks performing his shows in various schools in and around London. He can’t wait to return sometime soon and hopefully visit more schools across the UK.

Jamie’s first full-length album Jam On Toast was completed early in 2009 and more film clips are due for completion in early 2010 soon to be posted on the website. A full TV show of Jam On Toast is in the pipeline.

This year also saw the launch of JamOnToast.com.au which has had very positive feedback. Please let us know if there are any suggestions on how you think the site could be improved.

But most importantly a big THANK YOU to you all for your continued support. Have a great summer and we hope to see you singing, dancing and jamming with Jamie sometime in the near future.

Jamie has been performing his own songs and dances in his Jam On Toast show for Preschoolers and Lower Primary School (K-2) students for the past 18 months and at the request of many schools, he has now created a performance workshop for Upper Primary School students (Years 3-6).This new performance format called Jam On Toast (with Tea and Coffee) is an interactive workshop where Jamie leads students through a range of both traditional children’s songs and his own songs, performing dances and teaching them circle games to play.

See the “Book Jamie” page of this website for more details. Jamie has recently returned from his first international tour of his Jam On Toast shows where he performed for a number of schools across London. The shows were very well received and children in the UK are now doing the New Shoes dance! Jamie hopes to return for a bigger and better UK tour in 2010. Jamie’s brand new full length album Jam On Toast is due for release soon! It has all the songs from his One Sunny Day mini-album plus some cracking new numbers, including New Shoes, Sunshine Vibe and Grow Up. Keep your eyes on the website for details on how to order your copy
